Well, today marks my first working Monday as an unemployed individual.
I woke at 9.00am and got out of bed to prepare for two calls at 10.00am and 11.00am with potential clients interested in collaborating with me. It’s always exciting to explore new opportunities and see how my skills can be put to use.
At 12.00pm, I headed to the kitchen to prepare for my lunch while getting ready for my pilot show, #LunchwithLing, on YouTube. I am happy to learn that my streaming experiment on my YouTube channel was successful.
After having a fun lunch time interacting with people virtually, I worked on editing and posted this video on my Instagram and TikTok stories. Then it occurred to me that I should share it with my LinkedIn followers too, considering it is a comfortable and stylish outfit for work. Once I finished posting this videos, I took a quick nap on the sofa.
At 3.45pm I woke up and went for a site recce, followed by a face-to-face meeting with a client who expressed genuine interest in working with me. We discussed ideas, hammered out details, and worked towards firming up our agreements.
All in all, it’s been quite an eventful day in my new journey. Who would have thought that an unemployed Monday could be filled with such promising prospects? Here’s to embracing the unknown and making the most of this new chapter in my life.
