As we approach the end of the year, it’s time to start planing your remaining leave balance. Avoid cramming all your leave towards the end of the year, as it may lead to HODs rejecting requests due to high demand.
With Chinese New Year and Hari Raya already celebrated, let’s be considerate of those celebrating Deepavali and Christmas.
If you are in HR, it’s also a good practice to provide leave balance reports to HODs to encourage proactive leave planning with their teams.
As workaholics, many of us aren’t great at planning our time off, often resulting in our leaves being burned. I’ve been there myself, and I’ve seen it happen to many others.
So, I’ve prepared two memos – One for the Employees & One for HODs – in case you want to use and modify them accordingly in your communication plan.
Happy weekend, everyone! And remember, especially to the X-ers, work-life balance is important indeed. Don’t burn yourself out 🫰
