When it comes to the Olympics, it will always remind me the story of Nadia Comăneci. How the official Olympics scoreboard manufacturer, Omega SA, did not see it coming when she scored the perfect ten, displaying her score as 1.00 instead of 10.00.
It’s such powerful stories that inspired so many young girls to be gymnasts till today. A 14-year-old girl from a small country like Romania, breaking boundaries (in her case though, was the digital scoreboard literally) creating iconic history moments like this in the Olympics.
And today, the other one (pun intended) story is we had now surpassed the One million mark in Covid-19 cases in the country (which honestly I did not see it coming either when the outbreak first happened). Whilst it’s far from being inspiring, but it will remind me all the mistakes people had made to be where we are now.
