I love all of the characters in Peanuts created by Schulz. But if I have to pick it has to be Snoopy & Lucy.
They both are narcissists. Love to mock others. Very straightforward when they communicate and so honest they are, they can forget about people’s feelings. They are loyal. And they are also self-proclaimed Miss/Mister Know-It-All ðŸ¤
But more than I love Lucy & Snoopy is the creator Schulz. He single handedly drew all the 18,000 comic strip for almost half a century. Even when he suffered from hand tremor, he continued to draw every single day because he had so much passion for it. So admirable.
Though it’s a comic strips of kids, the behaviours of the characters are something we adults could relate to personally. He drew inspiration from his surroundings, which explained why they sound so real. Add a little imagination, humour & cuteness into it, voila.
And if you ponder & look closer into all that cuteness, there are actually a lot of life lessons in his comic strips. I’ve definitely learnt a lot from them too. Best of all, they are timeless lessons.
