I am sure we have a lot of those in our workplace. For I believe there is a little martyr living in every one of us.
You know the flock, who always complain how they have to work till late night and over the weekends because they are so responsible.
The ones who rarely take leave and even when they do, they will moan that they still need to attend that email. Heck, they even come to work when they are sick!
“I’m dying, I’m dying!”
While silently judging others who clock out from work on the dot or do not prioritize work like they do.
But from one martyr to another, the best way to deal with us martyrs, is with gratitude. Saying thank you for how we had sacrificed ourelves like a lamb on the alter for you.
So to all of us Martyrs out there, I thank you this Sunday. For your service and your contributions in making this world a better place.
