HAPPY MALAYSIA DAY!!!
Did you know that Malaysia Day was only made a National Holiday in year 2010? Since then, the Employment Act also had added this 1 extra day to be part of the 1 out of now 5 compulsory gazetted public holiday to be observed by employers. Extra Holiday! Such Joy!!
Many did asked me, why am I still in the country? Have I not thought about opportunities in Singapore? Australia? Timbaktu? Well, not really, I still do find a lot of joy in this country. Just like…..
- FOOD! OF COURSE FOOD IS GOING TO BE AT THE TOP OF THE LIST!!! I insist that we have better Chicken Rice than Singapore >.<
- Besides food, the cultural diversity not only created joyful celebrations all year round, it also means more public holidays & sales, sales, sales!
- We don’t have crazy natural disasters (knock on wood) hitting us unexpectedly.
- Despite what happens in politics, at least we don’t have fear going out (have you seen all the waterfall spots/picnics picture lately?) unlike some other countries where there’s war.
- And of course the people. I love the people here. We are humble, friendly, and always hungry.
Sunsets, mountain and sea,
Sunny and rainy,
Where durians mangosteen & langsat can grow healthily,
It’s such a joyful place to be.
