#Complementing

A baking competition show with a cliffhanger, wow. In “Baking Impossible” by Netflix, 1 Baker is paired with 1 Engineer to complete different missions like creating a 5 feet skyscraper with baking materials that could withstand an earthquake simulation shaking table. The catch is, both baker & engineer are strangers but they have to work together like bffs.

What I love about these reality competition shows are, you can see week after week, as the contestants listens to the constructive feedback from the judges, you get to see how they are improving progressively. I can see the same happening on the partnership of the 2 strangers too.

Though both strangers are different in terms of their personality and their skills, their goal is the same – to win $100,00 and being crowned as the best bakineers. Round after round, you can see the progress of their project outcomes getting better as they learn how to work with each other better, complementing each other skills,

It reminded me so much of the numerous projects that I have ventured with different individuals from different departments. We don’t have to be good in everything that we do. But what we need to be good at is to find the right partners to work with who share the same goal and complement what our skills is lacking of. That is why I am a true believer in outsourcing.

Just outsource what we are not good at to the experts and we focus on what we do best. For together, we can reach greater heights, baking the impossible.
