I remember the first time we increased our recruitment fee. It was a hike of 44%.
We asked boss, “You sure client is okay to pay us this kind of rates?”
Boss then told us, “Well, it’s small fee to pay to get the right talent into their organization. The candidate you are going to propose is going to make beyond 10x fold the money for their company. What is 44%, seriously?”
That conversation we had was some like 14-15 years ago. I still believe it’s true.
Just like the Chinese saying, “小财不出, 大财不进” which loosely translates to “Small money no go out, Big money won’t come in.”
