“I love the chaos outside. I miss the sound,” as my Punjabi friend texted me midnight last night.
Then I texted back, “I’m glad to see the Indians and Punjabis are quite kaya. After 20 mins, the fireworks are still going strong.”
He replied, “Tak kaya… Pandai cari wang saje hahaha…” This, I do agree.
Having been in this recruitment business for so long, I do hear the raciest shit against this minority group. Honestly, I feel they are like the blacks in America here, how they are being discrimated sometimes. So I do know it’s not easy for them.
But my experiences working with them are some of the best for they truly are some of the smartest people I know.
Fact is, my husband is about to venture into a new business with 2 Singhs with 2 other Malays no less. More excited I am to see my husband working again, is witnessing this amazing muhibbah collaboration.
It reminds me why I love the diversity we have in the country so much. That despite all the differences, we can unite and do great things together.
