This is Jack.
Jack might have a baby-face but he is no baby at all. He is one the youngest team leader whom I know can rouse up his people to high energy. One thing I love about these young leaders is that they are full of fresh ideas and Jack is no different. In fact, he is one of the most creative people that I know.
During lunch, Jack was sharing with me some of his goals in life & asked me for advice how do we get there. Another thing I love in young leaders who are not afraid to reach out to ask for help.
Young leaders like Jack are also comparatively more open to change and constructive feedback, which again I love too. Yes, they might not be as experience as we are, but doesn’t mean they are any less knowledgeable.
This picture was taken during a farewell lunch I had with Jack when he decided to leave us to pursue a different path in his career. He wanted to pay, then I told him, “Earn your first commission in your new company, then come back to buy me lunch.” Then one day, I received that text that it’s time he wants to pay back the lunch he promised, during the pandemic no less.
When I read that text, I smiled to myself and cannot help it but felt such happiness for his success out there. It’s really such exciting times for young leaders.
