This is me and my jingbang.
Just like most people, I didn’t manage to balik kampung last year to celebrate CNY with my family and I am grateful this year that I managed to fly back to KK to see everybody again and spend time together. Such moments are truly precious.
Then I want to share a funny Twitter post I read this morning. It said:
“I’m sorry, I’m away on annual leave right now. For urgent inquiries, kindly deal with it.”
It somehow reminded me the The Cantonese has this saying 長命工夫長命做 which translates to “long life work, long life do.” It loosely means there is always so many things to do, so we don’t kill ourselves trying to finish everything today for there is always tomorrow. Sometimes I do feel all these “urgent inquiries” are actually manufactured by ourselves. There are things that actually could wait but we impatients/workaholics just want to log in to our laptop to work to get it done.
As busy as we are, remember to take a break from the rat race to spend time with our loved ones. I personally know people who had regretted for not doing so in the past, including myself.
So seize the moment. Before it’s too late.
