The other day I went to buy Toto. I gave the Indian aunty at the counter the piece of paper I wrote down the number I wanted to buy. I spoke to her in Chinese, “2 Big, 2 Small, 3 Draws.”

Then she snapped back at me, “You tak nampak I bukan Cina meh?”

Heh.

I was like, how was that relevant? I know so many non-Chinese who speaks fluent Chinese. Just like how I also know so many Chinese who doesn’t even understand a single word of Chinese.
