“Are you happy with your new office?”
“Well, it is smaller but I am not unhappy with it.”
“That is good.”
“Yes, just like you said, we have to be grateful with what we have.”

When I was young, I did fantasized/visualized that I will have an office of my own one day. With big windows behind me that can see the city skyline. On my desk will be a fax machine (that time fax was trendy, k!) and a bowl with a goldfish in it. I will be sitting there on my desk, working late, typing away on the computer, a business proposal.
I remember when I first was given an office. It was year 2016 when I joined my current company. I asked Haida to take a picture of me sitting in my office so I can send it to my mum. Call me old school, it was quite momentous for me.
…..
You know what, I am actually not not unhappy with my new office. I am in fact quite happy with it. It has big windows behind me with KLCC view on my right & KL Tower view on my left. It’s spacious, bright and hey, it’s a corner office too. Perfect for selfies!!
So yes, I did take a moment to admire my own office. Because I believe I must have done something right for the company to spoil me like that.
Moved, I am.
