On Thursday night, it was a very happening night. The regional bosses finally managed to cross borders to meet the regional team who are based in Malaysia personally. Half of them met each other in person for the first time even, for they started work during the pandemic.
The bosses brought the regional team out for a lovely dinner to appreciate all that they do for the region and I was privileged to be invited.
After dinner, the leadership team decided to go to Changkat for Round 2. It was such a fun night indeed. It has been so long since we last spent quality time together. You know, just enjoying each other’s company and NOT talk about work.
When I was spending time with everybody, it came to me that these are what most of us have in common in the leadership team. We are very competitive. We are very hands on. And we are very hardworking.
Most of us have early meetings with our teams respectively the following morning. But it didn’t matter because we know it’s not often we get to have this kind of opportunity to come out together to bond with one another.
All of us turned up in our respective meetings on time in the morning despite the party ended at 2am. It didn’t matter if you are the (L-R) Regional Operations Director, The Chairman or The Managing Director. No excuses, regardless.
