Actually, I’ve also learnt this is not limited at home. At work, bosses will have their favourites too. It’s true, we always do.
In fact, I was/am also some of my bosses favourite. It does feel nice. However for me, it’s hard work. To earn such affection is not easy, you know.
Anyhoo, I don’t just want to be my bosses’ favourite. I also want to be ‘the’ favourite boss too! So I shall continue to work hard to earn my team’s affection. Like most things, it’s a 2-way street after all.
But… we need to remember to be fair, always. Because favouritism does put a strain to team morale. So, we also jangan lebih-lebih.
