One Column or Two Column

Nowadays, there are a lot of nice resume templates. The more trendy one these days is the 2-column resume format. Whilst it gives an aesthetic pleasure & better utilization of space, old school me likes to read left to right, top to bottom, in that order. So, a 1-column resume it’s easier for me to read, hence it’s my personal preference.

But I also understand times are changing. If that is the trend now, I should adapt. Hence, I have learnt to how to read a 2-column resume better. Start from the left side first, read top to bottom. Scroll back up, read the right column, top to bottom. Like that.

Be it one or two columns, it needs to look neat and tidy. Minimalist design & colour(s). Alignments and paragraphs are on point. Fonts used are consistent. And if there is any information you think that pops, have it bolded.
