Heroes & Villains

Recruiters actions can have both positive and negative impacts.

One hand they can be heroes. They help job seekers to find employment opportunities that matches their career aspirations. They provide guidance on the job search process. They help to give feedback on their resumes and prepare the candidates for interviews. They put rice into the candidates’ bowls.

On the other hand they can be villains. They engage in unethical practices and discriminate. They focus on candidates who graduated from branded schools or a certain background. They exclude aged candidates before interviewing them because they seemed “overqualified for the job.” They misrepresent job opportunities by not giving a realistic picture of the job or the company even during the hiring process. They threw sand into the candidates’ rice bowls.

There is always a choice who the recruiters chose to be. Are you choosing to be a Hero or are you choosing to be a Villain?
