As I rode the MRT SSP Line during Wesak Day (like Journey to the West, geddit, geddit?), I was blown away by the sense of joy and possibility that comes with experiencing new things. But my ride on the MRT was more than just a personal adventure – it was a testament to the new transformative power of infrastructure investment.
While it might not be as efficient as other countries like Singapore or Hong Kong (yet), it’s still making good progress. The stations are clean, the toilets are dry, the train cars are comfortable. Navigating the system was a breeze as I transited from one train to another.
It’s also a great date idea for introverts! I remember getting down from the Pasar Seni station and feeling like we were living out a romantic scene from a K-Drama! The city unfolding before us, with new sights and sounds at every turn.
