I am a person who doesn’t like to wait around for things to happen. When I see a problem (or an opportunity), I want to dive in headfirst and get things done. So I constantly push for results and get frustrated when progress is slow.
Yes, I know, I’m impatient.
Many say that impatience leads to hasty decisions because I don’t fully consider all the details and options. But I believe that my impatience is what gives me an edge. It’s what drives me to take risks and fuels my progress.
I do struggle with delegation and often end up taking matters into my own hands. It’s difficult for me to work with people who don’t share my sense of urgency. No wonder I’m labelled as pushy and brusque.
But with the right strategies and mindset, I can turn my impatience into a strength. I’m learning to channel my drive and energy in a way that motivates and inspires. I’m also developing my communication and collaboration skills, so that I can bring others along on my journey. Using my impatience as a tool to drive change and make a real impact.
So, no apologies for being impatient. Instead I’ll embrace it and use it to propel myself and the team forward. Together, we’ll get things done.
