I asked my 11-year-old niece today, “What advice would you give an adult who isn’t happy with their job?”
She said, “Leave the job and find a job he loves.”
She is not wrong.
Though as an adult, I’d tweak her answer to make it more practical:
Find a job you love first, then leave the job. Because as much as we’d love to follow our hearts, we also have responsibilities to manage. Like, bills to pay, families to support, and commitments to fulfill. Leaving without a plan might lead to unnecessary stress and pressure.
Her advice reminds me of the boldness we often lose as we grow older. But with a touch of practicality, we can still make bold moves responsibly.
