Work can sometimes feel like a war zone. One day, we’re progressing. The next, we’re questioning all our life choices while stress-eating.
Martha Steward once said, “Moving forward is the only way to survive something like that.” And she survived jail. So…
If you got laid off unexpectedly, don’t cry for too long. Update your LinkedIn, flex your skills, and start networking like your car & home instalments depend on it (because it probably does).
If you were passed over for a promotion, ask for feedback and fix the gaps. Then, we make them regret it either by levelling up internally or leaving for a job that actually sees your worth.
If someone started a nasty office rumour about you, don’t stoop to their level. Work so well that even their gossip sounds ridiculous. Bonus points if HR takes your side. 😏
If you’re being micromanaged into the ground, get ahead of it. Over-communicate before they even ask. Prove you can handle autonomy so they can finally chill.
If you’re stuck in a dead-end job, stop waiting for things to change. Make the change yourself! Upskill, network, and start plotting your escape.
If you are going through hell, keep going, The only way out is through. So, keep moving!
