Last night, I attended INTI International University’s CNY Celebration Dinner 2025 at One World Hotel. After so many years as an alumnus, this was the first time I attended INTI’s networking event. And I was so proud telling everyone I was part of the first batch that got uprooted from the Subang campus to the Nilai. When Nilai had almost nothing!
Like any good networking event, it was a great night meeting people from different industries, all of whom believe in the power of education. Seated at my table was a Professor from the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences, and he casually dropped this line:
“Studying is easier than working.”
OMG! I wanted to take out my phone to record that and send to my son! 😂
Anyway, it got me thinking. Education is important – not just for career success, but for opening doors. Sure, not having a degree doesn’t mean you won’t succeed. There are plenty of inspiring success stories of self-made entrepreneurs, but let’s be honest, the journey is tougher.
Many who made it without formal education still carry on an underlying insecurity about it, like a box left unticked. I know this because I’ve met quite a number of them personally.
So, if you have the opportunity to learn, grab it! Not just to get a degree, but to expand your thinking, build connections, and create opportunities. Education isn’t just about getting a job. It’s about giving yourself more choices in life.
Happy weekend, everyone! May we always have the hunger to keep learning, no matter where are in life. 🫰
