Finally.
I managed to organise a FREE webinar with the help of my elite partner, E2 Workforce Consulting.
The probation period is where many employers get… impatient. Too impatient, if you ask me.
I’ve expereinced this many times with my HODs. One month in, “HR, I don’t like this person. Can we just serve notice as per contract?”
😌
Yes, the contract says either party can terminate by serving notice.
But in Malaysia, unlike many countries, it doesn’t work the same way for employers.
For employees, they can resign and serve notice.
For employers, there is due process, documentation, performance management, and fairness to consider.
I have had managers so stubborn who kept thinking probationary period is some sort of trial season of a reality show. Like, seriously…
I have to keep reminding them that how they manage performance, confirmation, extension, or termination during probation can seriously affect the legal risk and the organisational credibility.
In this session, I’ll walk you through:
• What employer rights actually look like in Malaysia
• What compliance really means during probation
• How to manage poor performers properly
• And how to make defensible HR decisions prevent you ending up in IR court later
I’m sure some of you have also worked with HODs who think they are gods.
This webinar is where I gently explain why they are not.
And more importantly, I’ll show you/them how to do it properly, if you/they really want to terminate a probationer.
