Over the years, I have come to realise that career security does not come from staying in one company for a long time, or even from being very good at one job.
Career security comes from knowing that if life forces you to change direction one day, you will still be okay.
Many of us were taught how to get a job.
But very few of us were taught how to build a career that can evolve with us as we grow older, as our priorities change, and as the world changes.
Whether you are a fresh graduate deciding what to do with your first job, or someone with 10-20 years of experience wondering what the next phase of life looks like, that question is the same:
Are we building a career, or are we building options?
