POV: A Leader’s Paradox

One of the hardest parts of leadership is we are responsible for results today and people tomorrow.

The work must continue, but the people must also grow.
If the work continues but the people don’t grow, the organisation becomes weak.
If the people grow but the work doesn’t continue, the organisation collapses.
So the real job of a leader is to make sure both happen at the same time.

That’s why leadership is heavy and hard.
