I Want To Explain

Every day I receive many DMs from followers sharing problems involving their employers breaching the law.

And many times, the message ends with this question: “Can I report to JTK?”

Of course, you can.

But before you decide to burn that bridge, I would recommend at least attempting to educate your HR or your boss first on the correct way of doing things by properly citing the law.

I mean, if you’ve already decided to burn that bridge by lodging a report at JTK, why not, as a last hurrah, try to educate them?

Because honestly, after interacting with the SME community and small business owners over the past 2 years, I’ve realised that many bosses are genuinely not familiar with the law. If they knew, they might have done things differently. Really.

And…

When you do negotiate with your boss, be mindful of your tone and your choice of words. From my experience, this is usually where things go from bad to worse.
