People always ask me, “What do I do if I’m unhappy at my job… but I also cannot simply quit because there are bills to pay.”
Fair question.
I want to share the story of a friend of mine.
He wanted to leave his job and start a business someday. So every night after work, he started preparing for his escape route. He started with teaching himself how to code his own website. Every single day, he spent a minimum of one hour learning coding.
E V E R Y D A Y.
That’s the part many people underestimate.
When we say we cannot find a new job, are we actually dedicating time to changing our situation every day?
Because planning an exit is also work.
Spend one hour daily:
• Curate a better-looking resume
• Study the market and see who’s hiring
• Learn a new skill
• Reach out and connect with useful people
• Build relationships that may eventually lead to new opportunities
Every day.
All of us want a different life.
But not all of us are willing to consistently prepare for one.
I’m not wrong.
