I know many of you reading this are introverts.
And here’s something I’ve noticed after interviewing people professionally for more than 20 years.
Some of you are brilliant and downright funny.
But… you take FOREVER to warm up.
Unfortunately, interviews don’t wait for you.
Most interviewers decide within the first few minutes whether you seem enthusiastic, confident, and someone they’d enjoy working with.
So here’s one trick I personally use before any important meeting or interview.
About 15 minutes before I walk in, I’ll text my bff or call a random friend.
I perk myself up before the actual meeting or interview, like an engine warming up.
I’ll tell them that I’m about to go into an interview and I’m feeling exciting about it.
Chuckle together a little. Psych myself up a little. Calm my nerves a little.
And by the time I enter the interview room, my social battery is fully charged!
This trick has worked wonders for me and for the people I’ve shared it with.
I hope it works for you too. <3
