Oh, lawyers.
I’ve had my fair share of dealing with lawyers in my professional and personal life (even dated one before).
I must say… they do present themselves well and the confidence is memang meletups. Especially when they start arguing.
But here’s one thing I’ve always wondered… despite knowing that they’ll face endless late nights, demanding clients and one of the toughest career paths out there… they still choose to become lawyers!
Why!?!?!
In this episode of BebelHR, I sat down with practicing lawyer Pua Jing Man, better known as The Salty Lawyer on social media (@thesaltylawyer_), to talk about what life as a young lawyer is really like.
From surviving the Bar exams to eventually starting her own law firm after a difficult ending with her previous employer, Jing Man shares her journey with refreshing honesty.
We also talked about lawyer fees (if you’re planning to sue someone) and whether work-life balance even exists in the legal profession.
