True story.
Many, many years ago, we were bidding for a government contract.
During the process, the PIC handling the contract made it known that for every hour worked by every employee we subsequently deployed under the contract, they wanted RM1 as commission.
Now, if you understand how the manpower outsourcing business works, you would know that this could add up to a substantial amount of money over the duration of the contract.
It was clearly a request for a bribe.
We walked away from the deal without hesitation.
There are some things that are simply not negotiable my boss told us.
Happy weekend, everybody!
Remember, not every contract is worth winning, especially when the price of winning is your integrity.
