I remember many, many years ago, a colleague of mine asked me if I could help go get our regional Vice President’s signature on a certificate.
I was so nervous, I couldn’t do it. He is like the VP! Like gazillion levels above me. And I admire him so much! So much that I ended up asking another more colleague of mine getting the signature from him instead.
Have you ever had that moment in your life? Like you admire someone so much that you get so nervous in front of them?
Anyways, many many years later I saw him again in a mall. This time I told myself I must gather my courage to walk up to him to say hello at least, for I have not seen him for many years (he left the company and I eventually left too).
And I am glad that time I was brave enough to do so, because after I said hello, for the first time after knowing him for more than decade. we went for coffee together. It was one of my most memorable happy fan-girl afternoon – just the 2 of us.
