Dear Recruiters,
Frankly speaking, I will agree with you. Half the resumes that we received, they look terrible. They do.
But from my experience, when you pick up the phone and talk to them, they don’t seem as terrible as what is shown in their resumes. In fact, they almost always turn out to be so much better when they are given a chance to express themselves further in an interview with you.
So all I ask, is don’t judge the book by it’s cover – the resume cover that is. Talk to them first and understand them better and see how we can help.
Whilst I understand we cannot find everybody a job, but with our experience, we can help. We can guide them to correct their resumes so when they go out to look for jobs on their own, their chances will be better. Teach them how to fish instead of giving them the fish, if it makes sense.
