If you want to consider a counteroffer, remember to have an honest conversation with your boss before you decide anything.
When having the conversation, be honest about why you were considering resigning in the first place. Explain the factors that led you to start looking for other opportunities and why you felt that leaving was the best option. Negotiate and remember be open to compromise too.
Bottom line is, be clear about each other’s expectations for the future so there will not be another resignation again from you in the future. Well, not for the next 2 years anyways. At least.
