The other day, someone asked me, when I am hiring, can I put in the condition as a prerequisite that they must be vaccinated or at least registered for vaccination?
Well, it’s actually similar to the conditional hiring of passing a medical check-up, so the answer to that is yes.
I do foresee this kind of, if I dare to call it, discrimination will be here to stay.
IMHO, nowadays, most of us have been working from home at least for the past 18 months and we are getting pretty good at it. So, if the job is WFH, I supposed whether the person is vaxxed or not doesn’t matter.
However, if the person is required to constantly interact with other people at close range, like health workers, it would be necessary.
Anyways, the other day a friend was telling me that this virus is going to be here to stay too whether we like it or not. So we will have to learn how to co-exist with it. I totally agree.
