Well, that is expected as more people are returning to office. Today I also see there is a little more people checking into our office compared to the last 2 days. I guess as the economy is opening up progressively, the number of people checking into office will increase progressively as well.
Honestly as HR, I do worry. More people in the office means higher risk. That is why we nag. There are a lot studies that shows that nagging works like the one conducted by Harvard Business School professor Tsedal B. Neeley and Northwestern University’s Paul M. Leonardi and Elizabeth M. Gerber where they said that redundant communication works to get projects completed quickly.
So, we in HR like grandmothers we nag, nag, nag. People might find it a redundant communication, I find it a necessary communication because lives are at risk here.
We constantly send reminder emails on adhering to safety SOPs. When we are on virtual meetings we constantly repeat ourselves over again to adhere to safety SOPs. We put up sanitizers, my fav 1-meter wooden rulers, posters and that taped cross sign on tables and chairs all over the office to remind people to adhere to safety SOPs. Because it’s easy to forget especially when we are too excited.
Speaking of excitement, I want to share this video I took yesterday (so random). Just see how fast the office scanner is…. shoop, shooop, shooooop! Makes the jam worthwhile after all hehe…
And aptly I will end my post today with this. If you are working from office:
- Please wear your masks at all times even at your working desk.
- Stay min 1 meter from one another.
- Wash your hands with soaps frequently.
- Do not go out lunch/dinner in groups.
Peace.
Bimbo
