I remember when I received an offer to join a competitor, I kept blasting this song in my car and sing along with it.
Because at that point of time, I was fearful of what may come if I do accept the offer.
I will be walking to a new office where I don’t know anyone. Will they be hostile towards me since I am from competition? Will I be good enough for them? Will I be able to catch up with their processes?
Or I should stay in my company and not accept the offer – just sit there be cozy where I am.
Changing job is never easy. Especially when you are already at a comfortable place and the change requires you to explore unchartered territories. But I also have learnt that in order to grow, change is inevitable.
We just need to have the courage to accept the challenge to change. Besides, Confucius did say that, “Only the wisest and stupidest of men never change.”
Aaaahhh…. I am definitely not the wisest, but I shall not choose to be the stupidest either.
