Today I questioned, I am not sure is it me who is not delivering my instructions clearly or the other person is not clever enough to understand my instructions. Because when I asked, “Do you understand”, the person will reply “Yes” confidently. But when the work is being submitted, it’s not what I expected it to be.
Haida told me, “It also could be our expectations are too high.” Then she added, “But I don’t want to lower my standards. I want to stay high, so you guys come up to my level-lah.”
That makes so much sense.
So the challenge now would be how to lift people up to our level to meet our expectations. I shall work on that. Tips?
