OMG! Did you guys watch the Brazil vs. Croatia World Cup 2022 quarterfinals match last night? Like OMG! The drama!
For you non-footies here, this was what happened. 5-times champion Brazil was the favourite. 1st & 2nd half, the score was 0-0. But on extra time, 105th minute, Brazil’s Neymar scored, sending the stadium to a roar! 1-0. And on the 117th minute, Croatia’s Bruno scored and sent the stadium to a louder roar! 1-1.
Last-last, the Croatians won on penalties. 4-2.
I tell you… when Brazil’s 4th penalty kick didn’t went in, emotions exploded all around the world, including mine. Both teams were in tears. Tears of joy. Tears of disappointment. The elation and the pain.
I was thinking, this is such a classic story that we can relate to in our everyday lives. Till the very last minute, we continue to chase the ball & never underestimate the underdogs.
