Go Left if you are happiest when you are learning new things.
Go Right if you are happiest when you are working on things you know well.
Most of the leaders stayed on the left side. But I moved to the right.
As I age like fine wine, I’ve come to realise that sticking to what I know best is the key to my happiness. It’s like I’ve finally can reached the level where I can reap the fruits of my labour after years of sowing the seeds of experience.
Don’t get me wrong… of course, learning and growing are crucial for our personal development. So, even when we bask in the glory of our expertise, we should still push ourselves to grow and evolve. Trying out new experiences can take us to places we never thought we’d go, discovering new passions & skill and even can lead us to become the ultimate version of ourselves.
Aaaahhh… Familiarity. It does give me a sense of confidence and control. There is just this satisfaction about feeling like I am a boss in my own domain, you know. And I also shall remember to infuse a bit of freshness into the mix occasionally to keep my skills sharp.
