Many HR have asked, “Aunty, we have an employee who has tendered a resignation and we have also issued an Acceptance of Resignation Letter. Then, the employee changed their mind and wants to continue working. How do we handle cases like this if we agree to take them back?”
Aaahhh… this is an easy one.
What you need to do is get the employee to write in officially to request to retract their resignation. It can be via letter or email, as long as it is in writing.
Upon receiving the request, the company can then respond accordingly, whether the company agrees to the request or not. If the company agrees to the withdrawal of resignation, then everything goes back to business as usual.
Case closed.
Like that.
